Delete your Noosh account
This page explains how to request that your Noosh account and its associated data are deleted, what we remove, what we keep, and for how long.
How to request deletion
In the Noosh app (fastest):
- Open Noosh and go to Profile → Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm and re-authenticate. Deletion runs immediately and is permanent.
Can't access the app? Email support@nooshapp.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We verify ownership and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is permanently deleted
- Your login credentials — email address, password, Google and Apple sign-in identities, active sessions.
- Your profile — display name, avatar, handle, and activity stats.
- Push-notification tokens for your devices.
- Photos and videos you uploaded to dinners.
- Reports you filed and users you blocked.
- Any data-export requests and exported files.
- Your dish contributions to dinners you hosted.
What is kept, but anonymized
So that other people's records stay intact, a small amount of data is retained with all links to your identity removed — it can no longer be associated with you:
- Your dish contributions to other people's dinners are shown as “Deleted User” so their event history is preserved.
- Past dinners you hosted are reassigned to a system account so the guests who attended keep their own records. Your name is removed.
Any active or upcoming dinners you were hosting are cancelled, and your guests are notified by email.
Retention period
Deletion is processed immediately once confirmed. Any residual copies in our encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. We do not retain your personal data beyond this period, except where we are required to by law.
